Well, just like that the summer has come and gone. This week wrapped up my stay at the Hotel Sylter Hof as well as my contract with Fotofeliz. I feel very accomplished and also blessed that I was given this opportunity to live abroad and meet all the wonderful people that I was able to interact with. These last couple of days have been a little bittersweet because while I am sad to leave my co-workers, I'm also excited at the new possibilities that are coming my way. I plan to stay in Berlin a couple of weeks longer so there are still one or two blog posts coming your way. ;)

This week has been sort of an emotional roller coaster, though. I've gotten so used to life as it's been these last two months. Staying at the hotel, seeing the same faces every day, etc...I've made some friends that I'm definitely sad to see going home. My co-workers were quite lovely to me on the last day of work. They called in a "meeting" which basically was everyone gathered together to present me a card and a present. It didn't hit me until then that that experience was coming to an end.

Today as we were checking out of the hotel, it was definitely a surreal feeling knowing that these last two months had actually happened. It went by faster than I ever could've imagined, despite everybody saying that this would be the case. I'm confident that Intrax has provided me with the foundations I need to go anywhere to continue my career path. This program has given me the ability to adapt quickly and developed my job skills enough to excel in any work environment.

Berlin is seriously such a great city. I know I made the right choice coming here, and it is definitely going to be a hard decision for me whether I decide to try my luck and stay here a little longer or go home. I'm wrestling with the decision every day, as I see this as a possible permanent living place. I know it won't be easy, but that's how much I enjoyed this experience. I'm not ready to go home just yet. But just in case that it doesn't work out, I'm going to make the most of the time I have left here.

I would recommend this program to anyone in a heartbeat. It has truly provided me with an experience that I will never forget, and I wouldn't have spent my summer any other way. I'm thrilled to see whatever comes next on my journey, and I hope that others who are enthusiastic about traveling and learning about different cultures get to be so lucky to go through this unique experience.
