How does pricing work?
The Recruit plan is free for companies, as interns pay a service fee once matched. For the Employ plans, pricing consists of a setup fee and monthly fee per intern. Monthly fees consist of the intern's total compensation, social costs and taxes (varies by country), and service fee. Social costs are a mandatory employer tax burden due to each country's local government (for example Social Security, Pension, Health, Insurance, Worker's Compensation and more).
Are there any additional fees?
Finding top talent is difficult enough. Dealing with international hiring and wages makes it even more complex and risky as regulations vary by country. At Intrax we aim to simplify a very complex process by offering companies a simple flat-rate setup and service fee per intern. The only variables are the compensation, duration, and country-specific social costs. If eligible, a J-1 Visa is also available as an add-on should you transition from remote to an in-office internship.
Which plan is right for me?
Our plans cover the most common needs of startups and companies when hiring international interns. Some companies need assistance with recruiting, as listing on job boards is passive and noisy with lots of competition for talent. Some companies don't need assistance with recruiting since they have in-house recruitment staff, and only need support with hiring international interns. Whether you need help with recruiting or international employment, we have a plan for you.
Can I choose my intern?
Yes, you will select your intern. We will match based on your needs and preferences, and offer you options to review and interview with before making your selection.
Will I need to hire my intern?
While it is common to hire interns in the U.S. if they are a U.S. citizen or here on a J-1 Visa, hiring remote international interns is both complex and risky. Hiring independent contractors is another approach, however there is also risk in worker misclassification.

We offer our Employ plans to make it easy for companies to attract top international talent without the complexity and risk of hiring across borders. Our Employ plans include employer of record services, often referred to as PEO (professional employer organization), which assumes full responsibility for local laws and regulations including employment contracts, wages, taxes, reporting, and statutory benefits. You still act as the intern's employer and manage the intern's day-to-day activities.
Can my intern switch between remote and in-office?
The future of work is a hybrid between working remotely and in-office. We offer the ability to transition between remote work and in-office as an official J-1 Visa sponsor. If eligible, a J-1 Visa is available as an add-on should you transition from remote to an in-office internship.
Can I hire my intern as an employee after the internship?
Yes, you can hire your intern as an employee after the internship. Internships are a great way for both the company and intern to test-drive the relationship and learn about each other. Companies can test out recruits as interns before making a commitment, while interns can gain valuable work experience. With Intrax, we can help transition your remote intern to a remote employee.
